vendors and affiliates

What I would like to do is to take the stock affiliates contrib and infuse the vendors contrib in its working.

What I want is to issue my vendors with affiliate log-ins and add products with vendor details. I then want to limit the affiliate info they can access to details only applicable to their vendor ids thus giving them access to their details only.

Can anyone tell me where to modify the affiliate info to achieve this?

I assume that the vendor id needs to be created whenever an affiliate id is created. Products need to have a vendor id next to them but that would be easy as its part of that contrib,

All Affiliate mods I don't know - would anyone be able to outline the areas to look at?

Or is there another way I can let my individual vendors look at how their products are selling?
