    Default localhosting

I am new to OSCommerce and have had a site developed for me. In order to edit, maintain, and alter the site, I would like to work on it locally on my Apache Server and PHP that comes with Mac OSX. I have php all set up and I can point my browser to localhost and see php pages.

However, I can't view my commercial site because I get access denied error when trying to connect to MySQL. It assumes I am the user at the remote site.

What do I have to change in order for my site to work on my localhost.

    TIA

    Dan

    Default

Setup MySQL on localhost and change your database setup (in BOTH configure.php files) to point to there.

Make it a bit easier - create a MySQL user and database name - the same as your remote site. The all you have to change is the URL if your not using 127.0.0.1 (localhost).
