| I am new to OSCommerce and have had a site developed for me. In order to edit, maintain, and alter the site, I would like to work on it locally on my Apache Server and PHP that comes with Mac OSX. I have php all set up and I can point my browser to localhost and see php pages. However, I can't view my commercial site because I get access denied error when trying to connect to MySQL. It assumes I am the user at the remote site. What do I have to change in order for my site to work on my localhost. TIA Dan |

| Setup MySQL on localhost and change your database setup (in BOTH configure.php files) to point to there. Make it a bit easier - create a MySQL user and database name - the same as your remote site. The all you have to change is the URL if your not using 127.0.0.1 (localhost).
