| I received an email titled "PayPal Instant Payment Notification Warning" which contains the following information: "Please check your server that handles PayPal Instant Payment "Notifications (IPN). IPNs sent to the following URL(s) are failing: https://www.******.com/ext/modules/p...al_ipn/ipn.php. If you do not recognize this URL, you may be using a service provider that is using IPN on your behalf. Please contact your service provider with the above information. If this problem continues, IPNs may be disabled for your account. Thank you for your prompt attention to this issue." I have been using the PayPal IPN module for several years and did not change anything. Did Paypal change something on their end? Has this always been an issue and PayPal is just becoming aware of it, etc? I do have trouble with customers being able to return to my "success" page, but any fixes seemed to make things worse and/or cause issues with other payment modules so I just left it alone as I get the order. Does that have something to do with it? (I am working on getting moved over to RC4 so I wasn't in a hurry to fix that problem either). Any one else have this isssue? -Thanks. |

| First, check to see that the file in question actually exists on your shop. If it does, check your error logs to see if anything is recorded there as to why it is not accessible.

| The folder "ext" listed in the url doesn't exist at all and my error log is actually completely blank (which I have never seen before). |

| So overall, where does paypal get that url form? In paypal under Website Payment Preferences, the auto return, payment data transfer and encrypted payments are all turned off (as they have always been) and there is no url in the return url box. Same under the Instant Payment Notification (IPN) settings - nothing has ever been filled out and it is turned off. |
