Default category box - how to turn into drop down box

How can I turn the category box into a menu, or drop down box - seems too clumsy when the categories are plenty but not possible to be grouped further

Hello,

I found this contribution while I was reading the oscdox forum, I too was looking for an answer to this question.
http://www.oscommerce.com/community/...ions,46/page,2

I only have one question for msasek I am working with your ms2 max with bta 1.2 upgrade, this contribution tells you to replace your catalog/includes/boxes/catagories.php with the categories.php in this contribution, The contribution works fine, but is there a way to implement it to the existing catalog/includes/boxes/catagories.php or must I completely replace it with this categories.php for dropdown list? Will I lose anything replacing the ms2 max categories.php?

Also is there a way to remove sub-categories from the dropdown list only. Reason I am asking for the dropdown list only, when you click on an item in the dropdown list the subcategories show in the product_info page so there is no reason for them to show up in the dropdown list.

By the way great work, I am enjoying myself.
