    Default Dynamic MO pic

Thanks Michael again for sharing this great script. I love MS2-MAX. I am going to use the latest version for a new store and I still have problems with Dynamic MO pic. May I ask how can I disable this feature so that I can still the normal pic like the original osc version? Can someone please shed some light on this? Thanks in advance.

To use it MAX without MoPics, and like the default osC, set your Dynamic Mopics 'Use thumbs directory' to 'False'

Then set your image type to .gif or .jpg depending on what you use, and then just upload your full sized images to the /images dir.

Sorry I forgot to ask after I do that, can I actually ad the image via the admin panel (just like the default osc version) instead of ftp the files to the /images dir manually? Many thanks!

Michael, I just found that after I set Dynamic Mopics 'Use thumbs directory' to 'False', I am able to add and view the image but when I click on the "Click to enlarge" link in the catalog, the image does not show in the new window that pops up. May I ask if know how I can fix that? Many thanks!

Did you set the image type to match your image in Dynamic Mopics settings? Right click the popup image x and see what the url is. Most likely, you have it set to the wrong image type in the dynamic mopics settings in the admin.

    Hi Michael,

Thanks very much for your replies. Here is the current set up for Dynamic Mopics:

    Big Images Directory images_big/
    Thumbnail Images Directory thumbs/
Main Thumbnail In Thumb Directory false
Number of Pics per Row 4
    Mo Pics Extension _pic
    Main Big Pic Extension _big
Mo Pics Thumbnail Image Type gif
Mo Pics Big Image Type gif

I used the original osc MS2-2.1 in the past before I heard of your great script (MS2-MAX) and I was able to add pics in gif or jpg format. I followed your instructions to disable Dynamic Mopics and I really hope that I can add the pics in gif or jpg format. I just found out that if I add the image in gif format, the image will show in the pop up window after I click on the "Click to enlarge" link. But it wil not work for .jpg format. Most of our proructs are in .jpg format and it will take forever to change the format of all images. May I ask if you can think of a soljution to this problem? I thought that once I disable Dynamic Mopics, I would still be able to add both .gif and .jpf images (just like the original osc version)?

The following is my "Image" set up in admin:

    Small Image Width 100
    Small Image Height 80
    Heading Image Width 57
    Heading Image Height 40
    Subcategory Image Width 100
    Subcategory Image Height 57
    Calculate Image Size true
    Image Required false
    Constrain Proportions true
    Constrain Proportions true

I added the image proportion mod but I doubt that this mod disallow me to add pics in gif or jpg format because I have this problem before I added the image proportion mod.

Thanks in advance, Michael. I love your MS2-MAX so much and I think it's the best. And I know that many other users do not how to configure Dynamics Mopics neither so I hope we can solve this problem so that they can refer to this thread too when they encounter the same problem.

    Many many thanks.
