Default FPDF error: Unsupported image file type: gif, pdf_catalogue

Has anyone managed to install the PDF maker (pdf_catalogue_info.php,v 1 .4)

After 2 days of tweaking I think I managed to get it installed. But I keep getting this error.

FPDF error: Unsupported image file type: gif
I had a look in the code and it looks like it does'nt support gifs. Only Jpg and Tiff.

    Is this correct?

    Has anyone made it work?

Ok, I made all my images, jpg. The error went away, but got another one.

Warning: fopen(/home2/ofgnryef/public_html/catalog/catalogues/catalog_4.pdf): failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /home/ofgnryef/public_html/catalog/admin/fpdf.php on line 1023
FPDF error: Unable to create output file: /home2/ofgnryef/public_html/catalog/catalogues/catalog_4.pdf
    2 solutions to this.

One add one folder under root catalog/

    or

do a search on: catalogues and change it to another folder that you have added for example: pdf_output

So now it is all installed.

What I have left is to make it read Unicode format....all my greek names are stored in unicode format.

    any ideas?

After 3 days of work and boots loads of stupid questions to the moderator/admin. -sorry!
My conclusion is that: This contribution it does not work very well. I can not recomend it!
    Why?
    Installation instructions is in-complete.
No support for Gif's -could have been stated in the install doc, would have saved alot of trouble.
It does not handel the html format conversion at all, -this might be some setting but I doubt it.
If you want basic functionality like just ouputing raw text (no format) it works. -don't use the WYSIWYG editor

    To see a live example:
Having a database catalog converted to pdf is alot of trouble, (with this mod anyway) but if you manage to do it, its a very nice feature to have on a web site. It adds a stamina to the web site and helps you distribute your catalog/products to potential customers.

I will close this subject now, I am to sick of it.,.
Well its time to do some reading about Documentum possibilites...

    Thanks for your comments...
