httpsdocs problem

I just finished uploading a ms2 max 1.5 cart, and almost at the end I checked the option that was to activate 'ssl.' When I go to sign in in the shopping cart I get a blank screen, is this because I have to upload also the 'CATALOG' folder in the httpsdocs or what files do need to be uploaded?. Thanks in advance.
My server does have shared ssl and I made sure to follow the instruction:If you are on shared hosting, make sure the "persistent connections" box is unchecked.

it all depends upon how your server is setup. do you have separate folders for http versus https?
is the certificate installed, and do you have the proper path to SSL?
