Default upgrade from osC2.2 to MS2-MAX

I would like to upgrade from osC 2.2 to MS2-MAX. Will the auto-install do this successfully while maintaining the intetgrity of my 2.2 original site? For example, I want to maintain my customers table, orders table, modified pages, look and feel, etc.

Thanks,
C

chrismole, no, you cannot use the upgrade script. It will not work.

You will need to do a manual database update (on a copy of your DB, not the original!) and then import the product and customer data to the max db. Mysqldiff is a great tool for this, it will compare the dbs and give you the upgrade code to run on the copy of the db.

Thanks msasek.

Has anyone done this update? If so, do you have some input on how it went? If there is a step-by-step process, please post a link.

Thanks
Chrismole
