Default Send email from shopping_cart.php

My application for MS2-MAX is a screen in a jewelery shop displaying rings.
The customer selects 2 or 3 rings - adds them to the "cart".

My question is: When the customer clicks 'Checkout' in /shopping_cart.php is there any way an email can be sent with the information about those 2 or 3 rings.

The theroy being that the manufacturer gets the email - designs a composite ring - and sends an image of that ring back to the jewelery shop.

Thanks in advance.
Neil

Yes - in admin there is a "Send Addtional Email" option.... Put in the email where you want a copy of the order sent to. (but this would be ONE email for ALL items) From that email - you can review (for errors/omittions etc) then forward it on to the manufacturer....

There is other ways of doing it - but requires custom programing or alot of hacking - not impossable.

Thanks,
I would like to send an email from /shopping_cart.php similar to sending an email from /contact_us.php
( I don't need the login; shipping; payment; additional email processes )
Which part of the code actually "sends the email"?

Thanks in advance

No hacking needed....in ADMIN under "Configuration"-"MyStore" - "Send Extra Order Emails To:".... Edit this and enter the email address(es) you want to a copy of all orders sent to (ie your self...)

The "Send Addtional Email" option is good only after completing the order process.
I don't need the process after the customer selects their products - ie. no log in, shipping, payment options etc. as these are all completed in store.

I want to send an email from /shopping_cart.php similar to sending an email from /contact_us.php
The email need to contain only the product codes of the 2 rings for example.
(& then I'll modify the next page to say: Thank you - The product info has been received & <the manufacture> will send you an image of the 2 ring styles combined.)

Which part of the code actually "sends the email"?
Can I hack /shopping_cart.php to send an email instead of going to /login.php?

Thanks in advance.
