Default Activating or Deactivaing boxes in oscommerce

Hi, I'd like to know how can I activate or deactive some boxes at my installation. For example, I don't want to show "Affiliate Program" box to show up.

Thanks.

Comment out the code to display that box (or other boxes if need be) in column_left.php (or others in column_right.php)

change
require(DIR_WS_BOXES . 'affiliate.php');
to
// require(DIR_WS_BOXES . 'affiliate.php');

Too easy!

How do I add an additional category box if I want to physically separate categories?

Separate BOX - Not Easely!
Begs the Question - WHY?

Just have TWO main categories to begin with would be easier (then use SUB-categories).

Good Luck
