Clicking Submit on Almost Anything will Log Me out of Admin. Why?

This has been happening for a while but it's just now that it's become a nuisance.

When ever I do any of the following the cart will log me out and return me to the login screen as if I had hit the sign out button.

1. Use the Category Drop Down List to navigate between categories
2. Do a search for a product or customer within their respective sections.

And now
3. I installed THIS so we can more efficiently put item on sale but every time I hit the submit button it LOGS ME OUT!!!

It is very frustrating.

Has anyone come across this problem? Could it be that the cart is on a shared SSL server?

The weird thing is it won't do this on other submissions like when adding/editing a product or category.

I'm pretty much at wits end. I cannot figure out what's wrong.

Any help would be appreciated.

Check your configure.php files.... try turning off SSL - do a sample order... Fixed? Check your SSL directory paths in configure.php

Thanks! That worked. I actually had to get rid of the shred ssl url completely to get it to work but it worked. Not sure if it's supposed to but my install of osCmax does not liek the shared ssl in the admin section of the site. Could be something to do with the login contribution.

Nevertheless. We will have to turn off SSL to get the sales going then turn it back on.

It has nothing to do with the login and SSH. What it has to do with is your setting for SSH is incorrect. It is not able to properly move from HTTP to HTTPS

Make sure in configure.php

define('STORE_SESSIONS', 'mysql');

and typically
define('HTTP_COOKIE_PATH', '/catalog/');
define('HTTPS_COOKIE_PATH', '/catalog/');

I actually have no problem with the ssl and site on the catalog side. The problem is in the admin. When clicking the button it logs me out of the admin.

Hoh...I thought that was the issue.....

There is no "options" for SSL in the admin. It would be an all or nothing.

You would ether be 100% SSL in https or not http

If you set the admin:

instead of
define('HTTP_SERVER', 'http://www.....com');

YOU HAVE:
define('HTTP_SERVER', 'https://www.....com');

EVERY page in the ADMIN side INCLUDING login page would be HTTPS.

You have a bigger issue - please explain the "When clicking the button it logs me out of the admin."

- what button would that be then?

Note:....20 mins of no browsing/posting - your session has not be "refreshed" and will be cleared out - you have to re-login. (Or open a second window/tab and set that to refresh every - say 10 mins.... IF you have Firefox!!!!)

Also when trying to use the Attribute manager. As soon as I select a product to start the steps I get logged out.

The same happens to one of my clients, she logs in to her admin panel, goes to Customers, does a search for a particular name and on submit, she is logged out of her panel. It never happens to me though. I am trying to research an answer/fix as she is driving me insane*
