Default Instand Payment methods, PayPal annoyance

i'm a bit miffed at PayPal for demanding a user verifies the code which is printed on their credit card statement. this is necessary to remove the sending limit, which seems to be set at 0.00 for UK customers at least.

which sane individual will go through the trials and tribulations of setting up a paypal account, setting up the myriad of security annoyances and giving their vital statistics, just to pay on my site??

this is ludicrous!

my question is; which middleman like PayPal authorises me to use worldwide credit cards, but allows INSTANT payment for goods, without the need to set up an account, at least to make the initial payment?

this is CRUCIAL for me, as i feel this PayPal stumbling block will put off people from using the store.

Thanks for your wisdom guys!

SnowBord, you could always get a full fledged merchant account and gateway, instead using paypal. That would be the best method. I am not sure what the mechant offerings are in the UK, but I would start with your bank, since you already have a history and see what they have to offer.
