Default PayPal IPN giving free orders...

I am using the Pay Pal IPN and when a customer selects that as a payment method I get their order in my que as soon as they click "Confirm" and are sent to Pay Pal regardless of whether they send me the money or not!

This is not a problem with the regular Pay Pal payment option.

Beware!

Any solutions?

dougnyc, this is how IPN is supposed to work, and is the key feature to make sure you get notified of orders even if the person does not complete the process. Any order in the queue still set to processing should be considered unpaid. Only orders listed as paid are completed. It doesn't happen in the original paypal module because the original paypal module has no way of tracking orders, whether completed or not.

superkor, If someone doesn't complete paypal, that means they have decided not to purchase, so you don't have an order anyway, so I am not sure what the issue is. With IPN, all they have to do is transfer the funds, and the order will complete. There is not any other step involved. If they do not complete the transfer, then it will show up in your queue as processing, instead of completed.

Then you can call the customer and ask why they did not complete the order or whatever...
