    Default cookies and sessions ID setting

    Hi guys...can someone tell me what is the most appropriate setting for ther following:


    Session Directory
    Force Cookie Use
    Check SSL Session ID
    Check User Agent
    Check IP Address
    Prevent Spider Sessions
    Recreate Session

    I have max1.5 and use shared SSL
    ..your help is appreciated

    For shared SSL, session dir can be any writable dir using the full path to the dir, all settings false except prevent spider sessions and recreate session.

    thanks msasek..appreciate it...hey but would turning "prevent spider sessions" on affect SE spiders like google?

    Yes, it is in effect a SID killer so that spiders will not hit thousands of the same page over and over. SIDs are unique, and spiders don't deal with them very well. Every new session is treated as a unique page. That is why you wan to kill sessions for spiders. They will only index each page once, instead of thousands of times.
