Products listings and search not displaying correctly

Hello,

I have max1.5 heavily modified shop running pretty smooth.

The problem is in admin and in catalog side, all products, manufacturers, customers and search results are not in alphabetical order. some are fine, but then they get mixed.

Any help is greatly appreciated,

ok, problem solved. this happened due to wrong db encoding.
