Main_Page.tpl.php NOT working??? why???

Hi all,

Just installed a fresh version of osc max. Everything was totally successfull.

then try to goto: http://www.gadgetworldonline.com/hom...n_page.tpl.php which should enter the template system? and I get the following error:

You don't normally call hte main_page.tpl.php directly. I just tried calling main_page.tpl.php on my working store and received an error message also -- so the error message may be "normal".

Do you have a catalog directory?

Normally, to get the catalog, you would enter something like:

http://www.yourdomainname.com/catalog

Then to get to the admin
http://www.yourdomainname.com/catalog/admin

The templates are never to be called directly. You need to manually edit the template files, and they are not accessible via the web. You do not 'enter the template system'

The templates are called by index.php and loaded inline.
