Can I just use a contrib from oscommerce and use the install instructions and install it into ms2-max 1.5?

There may be tricks... If it is a straight admin install, that should be easy.

If it modifies files that already have mods in them, you will have to add the changes by hand. If the mod adds changes to the files in the main catalog dir, you cannot do an install based on the mod instructions, and will have to adapt it to work with BTS...
