Download the template from this page:

Then follow the instructions in the package.

Read Me First.txt says:

Quote:
Cobalt Template for the Basic Template System
---------------------------------------------
Just Copy this as it is packaged
It is already done. Zip extracted and copied into catalog as overwrite .
Any "selection" section for this template? Or editing some php files required?
This instructions not enough.

I'm newbie for simple (or advanced) template system and for oscMax

Did you just copy the catalog dir from the zip? The structure of the zip file is :

flame_cobalt
-->Cobalt
---->catalog <-- This is the dir you want to upload to your main public_html directory.

Once uploaded properly, like any template in osCMax, you then have to login to your admin panel and select the template to be used.

Read up here:
http://www.oscmax.com/documents/oscm...on/01_my_store

Specifically:

Quote:
Default Template Directory :: Set this to the name of the template directory under the main templates directory that you are using for your store.
So, set it to either Cobalt or Flame in the admin panel, depending on which you uploaded.

Thumbs up Re: Two BTS Templates set up for osCMax

Dear new visitors,

if you new in oscMax and BTS (templates) this is important point.

Cobalt template (and may be another templates) based on fallback template. And this folder (templates\fallback\content) should not be deleted. You can edit your pages in this folder!

Previous days, I could not understand it. Pages were coming from unknown code!

Default Re: Two BTS Templates set up for osCMax

The fallback template is called fallback for a reason...

If there are no custom content templates, osCMax falls back to the fallback template for the content templates...

If there are custom content templates in say, your templates/Cobalt/content directory, it will use that one...otherwise fallback.

You should never use fallback template directory to create "your own site template"

Copy only the files you want to change into your own fresh template directory and edit/change that one.

Ok. Already done. Modified fallback files moved to mytemplate/content folder and original fallback files copied fallback/content directory again.
