Just wanted to add to this contrib that although you should be wary of free email accounts, you should be wary of ANY suspicious orders at your shop. According to some merchants sharing their stories on scambusters.org, spammers and frauds have a nasty habit of opening accounts fraudulenty with fake or stolen numbers! So that "paid" email account could be fraudulent too.
