Working "Buy now" with one attribute

I was looking for a way to get the "Buy now" button to work with downloads but couldn't find a contribution for it and finally I found this code in a very old topic here on the oscommerce community:

I know a lot of people is still asking for a way to fix this so I thought it was a good idea to upload it here.
