| This script will retrieve the latest exchange rates from exactly the same servers as the default osCommerce installation (Xe en Oanda) and then updates the currency values in your database, just like the normal osCommerce currency update function. The difference is that this contribution doesn’t need to include the application_top.php that is often used by admin login scripts. Also it doesn’t give any screen output if you don’t want it to (can be configured in the file). If your webhost allows you to make cronjobs, then you will have the ability to automate the script to run it as often as you want. There is no need to Edit any of the admin files, you just need to upload the currency_updater.php to your admin directory and call it from your browser (or by a cronjob) More...
