Itar and I wanted to be able to add the date we occurred the expense rather than being forced to use the date we entered the data. If you do not enter a date, it will use the current date.

Doing this also allowed us to automatically set the year field by the year set in the new field 'Date' when you add a new record, so that you no longer have to manually change the date within the php file, making it easier, overall, to work with (in our opinion).

The zip file only includes the new yearly_expenses.php file. You will also need to access your database and make the following changes to the 'date' field:

Type: from TIMESTAMP to DATE
Attribute:'On Update current timestamp' to ''

We've also fixed some of the "Gather Reports by Year" code so that it works properly now.
