Preserve Customers Checkout Payment Comments Comments that the customer enters at checkout are not saved because credit card
processing status (Accepted/Rejected) overwrites the comments since order_status_id 1
is used which is 'PENDING'.
The order comments will be saved by writing them as status 0 (COMMENTS)
which will not be overwritten by the authorization module.

Re: Preserve Customers Checkout Payment Comments Maybe I am just frustrated & inexperienced. I have been working on my store for weeks now and the comments not being saved upon customer checkout is the only issue I am having the most trouble with.
I do not understand the fix of writing the status to 0.
I am using osCMax v2.0.4. Paypal standard is my payment preference.
Any suggestions or explanation of this would be greatly appreciated!
