This very useful contribution allows store owners to customise the order confirmation email that is sent when a purchase is made. HTML can be used and variables selected for inclusion. I was particularly interested in using this contribution in order to provide information which UK Distance Selling Regs require to be provided to a customer when they purchase online (the information can be contained in other documents sent to customers but I wanted to provide it with the confirmation email).
Unfortunately the admin section of the original contribution did not work for me and so code changes were necessary to correct this. Originally in German, there were also various places in the contribution where translation had either not been done or needed improvement, and I found other small modifications also needed to be made which, I hope, have improved the overall functionality of the program and will make it useful for others. For a list of changes see the update.txt file.
The contribution supplies ready made examples for the email confirmation message for English, German, and Spanish languages, one other language is provided for in the sql statement that creates the table holding the email texts. For the English language version only, I have added a 'terms and conditions' statement to the email providing the customer their cancellation rights, which you can amend or delete to suit your own purposes. Please note it isn't a legal statement, I'm not a lawyer, and you may not even be in the UK, so enter your own statement/policy according to local laws or leave it out of the confirmation email completely as you wish. The confirmation email can be edited in admin to say whatever you like.
