** NOT READY - NEEDS TO BE COMPLETED **

The purpose of this code is to provide a file-upload field in Product Attributes. It is a work still being writting, but I am asking for help...
I have managed to get the filename of the uploaded file to show in the basket item, and also on the invoice, by injecting it into the attributes array.

I have the file itself being deposited into the customers_basket table, as a MEDIUMBLOB.

Here is my problem... I don't understand fully how the array should be stored if the customer is not logged in at the time of the upload. Also, the checkout process is a complete mystery to me.. I don't understand why nothing is ever selected from the customers_basket table, and so I can't get my file contents into the order itself.

If someone could either find the time to add to my work, or to help enlighten me on how to get the information where it needs to be, I would be most grateful. This is currently tuned for image files, but it could just as easily be used for any type of file to be uploaded.
