HTML email does not work out of the box in 2.2.
It's a simple fix to get it going well, with the option to send in Plain Text or MIME HTML.

I know this has been addressed many times and their are lots of add-on packages available, but you really don't need a lot to send email in HTML format.
This fixes the email send only. Not newsletters, but I reckon you could figure it out :)

NOTE: the .zip file contains HTML_instructions.txt only
