Kurdish is in fact an Iranian original language spoken mainly in Turkey, Iran, Iraq, Syria and Russia.
As a matter effect there is NO "Kurdish country", but yet the language and the culture are real. Probably our friend got confused with the concept of the Kurdistan, which is a transnational region of southwest Asia, divided between Turkey, Iraq, Iran, Syria and Armenia; where the Kurds are found. Nevertheless, their culture is NOT defining their "country borders".
