    Default New to osCMax

    Hi!

I am Megat Ahmad Sani from Malaysia. I have just installed osCMax on my subdomain for evaluation before making it life.

I am now trying to understand better so that I can integrate it with a local Malaysian payment gateway (NBepay) which is not listed under the payment module. PayPal would have been ideal had it allowed withdrawal from Malaysian banks (which are yet to be negotiated).

I suppose I have to dig into the manual in order to accomplish the objective.

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

PS: Browsing through the features (backend) seems to indicate that this software promises to deliver what it claims.

I hope I have made the right decision.

    Thank you.

Welcome onboard. You'll need a fair bit of coding skills to put in a new payment gateway, so I wish you luck. If you should find one for osCommerce, then it will much easier to get one working in osCMax.
'Max has many contributions added to it, to make it a much better starting point than standard osCommerce.
Be sure to look at the continually updated wiki, for documentation.

    Thanks EJ for the encouragement.

I will try to find one for osCommerce as you suggested.

    Thanks again.

    Lightbulb Re: New to osCMax

I see that their site says that they support osCommerce but couldn't find a download for the payment module Try getting in touch with them and ask for it. Do try to look for alternatives (a Singapore bank account, in order to use PayPal, possibly?)

    EJ,

You are a good member (and friend). I appreciate your effort.

I have found the module. It is posted by none other than Micheal Sasek himself. The url is Malaysia Online Payment Gateway - NBePay.

This forum is very active which is a good sign. At the rate osCMax will prove itself as the eCommerce with teeth.

My next move would try to find a bridge between Joomla (which powers my free site) and osCMax.

    Again, thanks to you EJ.

    Regards.

Thanks EJ for your support. I really appreciate it.

I have found the module as posted by none other Michael Sasek himself at Malaysia Online Payment Gateway - NBePay.

I am now trying to integrate the module.

EJ, you are a good member (and friend). Keep it up. An active forum is the way forward to making osCMax an e-commerce solution of choice.

BTW: I am looking towards finding a bridge between Joomla that powers my freesite and osCMax (for my mall). The idea is for a single single sign-on and sign-in. Otherwise I have to settle for an external link.

    Regards.

    Smile Re: New to osCMax

A good day to osCMax users.

    I have a few issues for clarification/solution.

[1] The front end always displays the breadcrumb top>>catalog. I have attempted to find out how not to display top. Clicking this will show a window with the directories under the subdomain which might be a security risk. Could anyone give some clues on this issue.

[2] I want to change the default page so that I can put my logo and some customizations. Which are the files that need to edited?

    Thank you and regards.

I have 2 issues (for now) that I need to resolve:

    [1] Breadcrumb showing Top

Is there anyway I can remove it for security purpose?

    [2] Payment/Download of Products

I need to understand how to execute the following transaction procedure:

customer orders->checkout->make online payment->system notifies customer through email with download particulars->system displays download page->download

    Any help is greatly appreciated.

    Thank you and regards.
