Default peraperal.co.uk with oscmax no time to 'fix' magento

    Hello,

Each time I visit the forums it tells me our records indicate that you have never posted a topic ... so here it is.

We intended to use Magento on a project but the shared hosting just didn't work to get the thing up and running.

Time was a becoming an issue, so we turned to osCMax. Thank you to the developers and those that support it.

We got back on track and now have launched :

Pera Pearl : pearls without the price

    Thank you, Shaun

    no time to 'fix' magento
Magento is unstable and required dedicated server or vps with at least 512MB of RAM, sorry but for 512MB I can run on my computer the windows os with other applications on it!

Nice looking site ... glad you got it up and running on osCmax.

... especially interested in the products zoomer and image switch?

Any pointers on how you did this 'magento'esqe functionality? Is it an install of highslide?

[Constructive critism ... Might be worth changing those blue buttons as well ... why not try some of these sites for shiny new buttons?]

    Regards,

Thumbs up Re: peraperal.co.uk with oscmax no time to 'fix' magento

What a super looking opening page!

You really ought to get images sorted better though.
    Checked one image: 1100px × 1100px (scaled to 100px × 100px)
Heaven help someone on a slow link!

Have a look at the 'Max Projects with respect to images and I'm attempting to bring out a further 'enhancement', all going well. PGM has kindly offered to help but others are more than welcome to join the 'party'.

    Welcome on board.

The zoomer code was taken out of the failed install of 'magento' I had, sorry don't know its name etc.

Yes I should have another look at the image size, I figured one image at this size would be just about OK but then the client wanted a min. of 3 per product/page ...

See recent update to Enh. MoPics Project - ironically I was going to put in an option to upload up to three additional images.
Your client should appreciate the far easier method to load at least the first image.
I'm starting to lose heart in it though, due to lack of forum response/interest and little feedback. I'll continue to develop it for my own clients' use but as for public release.... time will tell.
