Hello - new to oscmax

Hi folks, I'm new to OSCMax, although I have used Cre-Loaded and osCommerce a little. I'm hoping to find out a little bit about OSCMax before I jump into it. How much different is it from CRE-. I just purchased a new site and it is setup with OSCMax and I'm wondering how much of a learning curve I'm going to have ?
