    That discussion seems to indicate the MD5 / SHA256 change affects the AIM module only, NOT the SIM. I prefer to use SIM as then I never see card data, and don't have to go through the insane PCI compliance hoops, which basically, I CANNOT comply with. (For instance, your web store needs to have its own internet connection, not shared with any other system on your premises. And, there's lots more.)

    You might get a (quicker/worthwhile) response on the osCommerce forum. Generally, modules can be ported to osCmax.

    Yes, in a sense, modules can be ported, but there seems to be enough differences in the environment that just plugging an osC module into osCmax will generally not work. I saw what issues came up when a USPS module was ported by a guy who was WAY more up to speed than I was.
