[Catalog Issue] Need the Checkout Country set to Australia and to change the Product sort to Model Number

Hi,

Currently the preset country in the check out form is United States ....how and where do I go to change this to be Australia so the GST (tax) is shown straight away and not after the address has been completed. Some clients have been concerned that the price is different originally as the price shows less gst with US showing. I used to change the language/currency.php file - Country Selector to "13" but I have checked the Core.php file and cannot find where to update, nor can I find the old currency.php file..... unless I'm blind of course

Secondly I need to see if I can have the products sort by model number and not Title. Is this possible or does it have to be done manually using the sort order option in the actual product information?

Any Assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Check in catalog/includes/languages/english/locale/locale.php to make sure you have everything set to Aus.

I've found the information but not sure if I comment out the Uk and 222 as I see the AUS info further down. I tried this but it did not change the country selector? Obviously I missed something?

Doh !!! What a goose I am ! I found it....it can be changed in the Config/ Template / ONe Page checkout configuration in the Administration area.... Sorry

On to the next issue...can I change the sort order to be Model number instead of title for products or can this only be done via the sort order options in each product?

If you want to change the country to Aus - make sure you set it in Configuration -> m
My Store -> Use Uk or Us english? -> set to AUS

To change the default sort you will need to hard code this ... Open catalog/index.php ... Find near the bottom ... Line 334 ... $listing_sql .= " order by " . $new_products_sort . "pd.products_name";

And change this to be "p.products_model" at the end.

Backup before you do this ... I have not tried it but it should work.

One more thing if I may ..... the client also wants the Products inside the Admin section to sort as per Model Number not alphabetically .....is this possible?

Line 2469 and Line 2477 need to be changed so that the

order by pd.products_name

is

order by p.products_model
