This noobie needs some shipping setup advice.

I am currently in the beginning stages of setting up a store with v2.5RC2.

So far I am very pleased with this shopping cart compared to another I am currently using for a different company.

Here are my needs:

All of the products that I will sell, except one, will be drop-shipped from the manufacturer. I plan on using the manufacturer's shipping info for my store, simply passing the shipping cost on to the customer.

The one product that I will inventory, I would like to charge a flat rate. Is this possible and still use UPS rates on the all of the other products?

Also, the one product that I will inventory, I would also like to ship for free if the customer is meeting me at the next event, hand delivery. I thought about using a coupon code "PICK UP AT EVENT" for free shipping. Is that possible?

Individual Shipping will work in the stable release (due soon) - I have fixed the base code in bugfix r1666 - Michael_s has been updating the module to the latest version.

You will need the code from Michael for your senario - in case people order your drop ship items and the one that you physically stock in the same order.

I am confused.

In bugtrracker, I see 629 with a resolution of r1333 and 938 with a resolution of r1641.

But you are saying I need r1666 and I need to get that from Michael?

If so, how do I do that?

In order to download from the source code you need to use an SVN client - see useful software in the wiki. Please be aware that you need to be fairly technically minded to take this on.

Can you verify that r1666 is correct?

It has been committed to the source but now people will test and confirm it works. The developer believes it is working but it needs to be tested in real world environment.

Once we have all the bug fixes done ... and tested they work ... we will release the stable version.
