Difference between osCMax and oscommerce

Hy I am new and till today I only know the oscommerce 2.2
I would like to know the big difference between the osCmax and oscommerce and if I can use payment modules from oscommerce on osCmax.
I really don't know if here is the better place to put this question but I didn't find where I could put it.

Hi Flavio, welcome to osCMax.

osCMax is a version of osCommerce with a whole set of contributions pre-installed for you. This means you get a site with many more features for much less effort. You can read more in the 'What is osCMax' section here http://www.oscmax.com/what_is_oscmax_0.

On the down side it can mean it is harder to install other contributions not included in osCMax which you decide you need. Usually it is quite simple though and I have installed quite a few contributions without any problem.

Payment modules should be pretty straight forward. Have you a specific module you need - post the name maybe someone has done it - better still search the forums and see if someone has alreay used it.

About the payment module - Here in Brazil exist the BRPAY, it is a company similar of PAYPAL, the payment module that I should install if I use is this. I know that they supply to oscommerce module, that is why I ask if I can use oscommerce module in osCmax.

Yes, it should work fine. The payment modules are fairly easy to install. Follow their install instructions for their module and post your results.

You can, but it has to be converted and I don't recommend it, as it is difficult for anyone but experts.

A better option is to use our osCMax templates:
