FedEx script won't work with firewall on

I have a new oscMax rc4 store set up, with the FedEx and USPS modules. When the firewall is turned on, these scripts hang. FexEx has a timeout, and when I turn that on, the script times out and reports it couldn't get a reply from FedEx. When I turn the firewall off, the scripts get the correct shipping changes from both shippers. Does anyone have any idea what ports I need to open in the firewall to make this work?

Fedex Port should just be 443 (normal ssl port). Make sure in and outbound are open.

443 is open for inbound, and outbound is wide open. But, it doesn't work. FedEx times out, USPS doesn't have a timeout, so it just hangs.

Every other part of the store is working perfectly.

I hope you have some other idea, or a way to diagnose the problem.

OOps, looks like it was some misconfiguration of my firewall. Strange that everything except the shipping modules worked, but then they have to communicate two ways with outside services. Anyway, I have now gone live with the store, and hopefully it will go well from now on!
