for you to click on the menu entries. Today I was using a different machine to access the web store,
and it was almost impossible to activate any of the menu entries. This was a pretty fast machine,
faster than the ones I usually use. Has anybody seen this before? Is it a browser setting or
a configuration setting of the store?

Just to be specific, you place the cursor over the button for the menu, and the pull-down menu
appears. The instant you lower the cursor, the menu disappears, there's no time to even click
on the top-most entry of the menu.

I tried searching the forum and came up with a bunch of hits on corner banners, but they were mostly several years old and pertinent to IE only.

On my product listing page in grid view:
- the left side of the corner banner lines up correctly with the left of the cell
- the top appears to line up with the top of the image, not the top of the cell

In list view:
- again the left side appears to line up correctly
- The top appears to line up with the center of the image(vertically) not the top of the row

I've attached screenshots.

I have not modified the css for the corner banners or the product listing module.

Up to now, I have only had one Category in the shop I am helping to setup/evaluate. However, when I add a new category(ies), they are not showing up in the Categories Listing in the shop. This is the case no-matter where I add the category - ie at the top level of categories or as a nested category.

What is even stranger is that even when I change the wording of the Category description of the one category that DOES show in the shop, I still see the original wording. (Original Description = "A4 Inspirational Poems Laminated". New Description = "Poems")

While preparing for the move, I discovered to my horror that hackers knew the secret admin directory... I just moved my 2.5 RC1 store to a new server. While preparing for the move, I discovered to my horror
that hackers knew the secret admin directory name of an old 2.4 store I used to run. it was uncomfortably
close to the new admin directory name. I changed the secret name, but felt this wasn't secure enough.
So, what I did is use the virtual host feature of apache to move the admin directory tree out of
the osc/catalog tree into a different virtual host that is not accessible from the WAN, but only
from the local network. Everything seems to work fine EXCEPT for the update_order functions.
The updates actually seem to take place, but then you get stuck in a blank page. In the apache logs,
I see the POST access gets a 500 error message.
Here's the log entry :
10.10.1.20 - - [08/May/2013:23:43:58 -0500] "POST /secret/orders.php?page=2&oID=68&action=update_order HTTP/1.1" 500 412 "http://10.10.1.93/secret/orders.php?page=2&oID=68&action=edit" "Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.9.0.4) Gecko/2008102920 Firefox/3.0.4"

10.10.1.20 is the local node I access the store admin functions from.
10.10.1.93 is the LAN-side address of the web store server.
<secret> is where I've obfuscated the secret name I have given the admin directory.

Now, OTHER POST operations seem to work fine, like sending an email from the customers
list. So, this may have nothing to do with this weird security hack I have made, it could just be
a coincidence. I could put the settings back and move the admin directory to the normal place
and see if the update_order works again. If it did, I might well still use my security hack, as
hoping hackers can't guess the admin directory name is not very secure. I note that Firefox
appends the directory path including the secret admin name when printing out
invoices and shipping lists.

Well, any suggestions for tracking down why a particular POST operation gets a 500
would be appreciated, there's nothing in the apache error.log
One thing I could think of might be a relative path that tries too many ../..
would work up out of the virtual host tree, maybe that could cause a 500 error.

You can select this option for any product when you first add the product to your store, or you can edit any existing product and select this option at any time.
When selected, the product price is replaces with text and a link to an explanatory popup. You can change any of this text at any time.

I then found a solution which seems to work:

In catalog/includes/functions/general.php there is a function that rounds up the price using the admin set number of decimal places, which should be set to 2. If the following lines are altered:

return tep_round($price, $currencies->currencies[DEFAULT_CURRENCY]['decimal_places']) + tep_calculate_tax($price, $tax);
} else {
return tep_round($price, $currencies->currencies[DEFAULT_CURRENCY]['decimal_places']);

change to:

return tep_round($price, 3) + tep_calculate_tax($price, $tax);

return tep_round($price, 3);

and

then the prices will now show correctly. I am considering changing to osCmax, but that module doesn't seem to work on my test site. The standard osCmax shipping module has some issues. I can't add a handling fee. There is a place to add the fee in Admin, but it doesn't work (no handling fee added at checkout). Also, if you change the product totals after checkout, the cart updates but changes the shipping charge to $0. Has anyone had any problems with this module? Does anyone know how many shipping modules for USPS are available in osCmax? Do osCommerce shipping modules work in osCmax?
