Default PDF Specification sheets for some products

A lot but not all of my all products have PDF spec sheets that I would love to upload and include. I know that the more complicated way to do this is to actually just upload a file by ftp and place a link in my product description. However I was wondering if anyone had a easier or less complicated method? I have seen some contributions and some forums that discuss this. Maybe someone can point me in the right direction that has done this before on oscmax 2.5?

I saw this on the older version of oscmax
vs2.1 Best way to add a Datasheet pdf

just a heads up so I don't waste my time in the wrong direction would be awesome!

Perhaps we should add this to the core ... if you think we should then please post in bug tracker as a feature referencing this thread.

    Thanks.

PGM, I think its a great idea but I'd actually prefer it not to be a tab but just a pdf link on the main page... I don't really know how to do that. hahaha.
Oh and another thing. This mod actually creates a "Permissions & Security" error too on the admin page since these files are not image files in the image folder...
I imagine it'd be better to change all this. I'll look into it. I think i'd prefer just to have a separate folder where only pdfs were going.

If you spec it up how you think it should work and give reasons - then post in bug tracker - we will work out the best way to integrate it.

    Regards.
