I have a strange problem with an Oscmax powered site (I'm not sure on the exact version but it's a couple of years old) that I've not experienced with any other shops I've built with the software and the only difference with this shop to my others is that it uses PayPoint/SecPay as the payment module so I'm leaning towards the problem being here but this is just a hunch.
The shop functions fine 99% of the time but every so often (usually once every couple of months) the client will receive a payment email notification from Secpay/PayPoint for a new order but no order information will be recorded in the shop admin, there's no record of the customer's account or the order information. The strange thing is the rest of the time the shop functions fine, they've had several hundred orders placed by customers all paying through Secpay/PayPoint without any problems then every so often they got one of these phantom orders with nothing being logged.
The shop is pretty standard setup with only a miner modification which is the customer comments box being placed on the product info page to capture information from the customer but I can't see this being the cause of the problem.
Has anybody else experienced anything like this before?
