A few questions:
1. What kind of sites can I host on this service?

2. What happens if I go over the BW in a month?

No history on this site (BRAND NEW). No "real" contact info or mail address (even if it is a PO BOX in some mall some where). No idea who runs this site. No idea of quality or support.

According to there site...

Acceptable Use / AUP

Cheap Freakin Hosting does not allow any sites that are considered illegal in the United States of America. If a site is deemed to violate this policy, it will be removed without notice from our system.

Cheap Freakin Hosting does not allow any of the following:

* IRC
* Spam/Phisinng
* Adult Sites
* Streaming video
* Illegal Material
* Copyright violations including warez sites
* Mailing lists/Mass Mailings

The above types are not allowed and will be removed and canceled without notice or refund.

Resource Usage:

Each account is limited to the amount of transfer and disk space allocated to it. If a site exceeds its quota for transfer in a month, a 5 GB block of transfer will be allocated and billed at a rate of $5 for the block. The site will be temporarily suspended until the invoice is paid or until the new billing period begins.

CPU/RAM Usage:

Each site is allocated a daily percentage of CPU usage that shall not exceed 2% of available dailyt resources on average. If a site goes over that allocation, we can at our discretion suspend the site in order to investigate the cause of the over usage of resources.

If you can afford to throw away 12 bucks - great - cause this site has no guarantee that it will be up for a week/month or a year or more...No idea. They may be good - or may be bad. But for 12.00 they an't going to do much for you if you have an issue.

I posted my questions on their forums, and the answers I got were good enough for me. I wouldn't use any cheap host for something critical, but I do need some web space for a few of my projects and this is just the ticket.

They are up-front about service levels too, like if you expect extra service or support, stop being so cheap.

I still haven't decided if I am gonna try it tho.

For a farting around - don't care too much - 12 bucks is a cheap - very little to lose. I would not USE it for any sensitive sites with personal/sensitive data - like ECOMMERCE. As there is little recourse if they use/sell off your data....or close up shop without notice and you lose valuable data...


However if you have a forum or public personal website/blog -them heck try it.
